Biography

Andrew Walker is the Impatient Futurist, an applied entrepreneur who’s discovered how to be a catalyst for the emerging future, so it can hurry up and get here. He started his career building “impossible” software at companies like Ernst and Young and British Telecom, breaking so many speed records for that it’s no wonder those companies shortened their names to acronyms. Andrew went on to found several software companies, including MondoMob, AlmostAwake, and 3WKS – which was acquired and floated in 2018, making 11 millionaires in the process.

These organisations were the first to implement his Radical Cloud Methodology, a process applied by the likes of NewsCorp, Monash University and IAG. He is also known for developing the Principles of Catalytic Cycles, creating the first Emergent Organisations, founding the Sydney Agile meetup and as the author of Beyond Agile: How To Run Faster, Smarter and Less Wasteful Projects. On any given day you can find him getting frustrated with the pace of Moore’s Law, inventing collective company constitutions or scaling cliffs ‘just to see what’s over the horizon’.
